VILLAGE GUIDE
Gamph is a revenue village in Dholera taluka of Ahmedabad district, covering roughly 4,131 hectares. It falls outside the Dholera SIR, so land here is governed by the district and taluka revenue authorities rather than by DSIRDA.
What separates Gamph from most villages covered on this site is which side of the region it sits on. Kanatalav, Adhelai, Dhadhodar and Vadhela all lie along the SIR’s southern and western edges. Gamph sits on the northern edge — the airport side. The Dholera International Airport site is about 14 km away, against roughly 40 km from the southern villages.
It is also a large village with a long contact. Around 9.7 km of its boundary runs alongside the SIR, the fourth longest of any village outside the region, and at 4,131 hectares there is meaningful variety in where a parcel can sit. Kasindra lies about 3 km away and Valinda about 6 km, so this northern stretch is a cluster rather than a single village.
Gamph’s postal head office is Fedra, which places it within the Fedra corridor that much of the local land marketing refers to.
Buying land outside the SIR follows the ordinary Gujarat revenue process, not DSIRDA’s planning system. Land is purchased on the open market through a registered sale deed, and any conversion or development permission comes from the district and taluka authorities.
For Gamph, that means Ahmedabad district. The 7/12 extract, 8A and mutation entries come from the Dholera taluka e-Dhara office, and the cadastral village map from the District Inspector of Land Records, Ahmedabad. This differs from villages further south along the SIR — Dhadhodar and Vadhela fall under Botad, Kanatalav and Adhelai under Bhavnagar. Pulling records from the wrong district office is a common and avoidable waste of time. Older directories and some seller paperwork still show Gamph under Dhandhuka taluka – Dholera taluka was created later from villages of Dhandhuka and Dholka, and the live record now sits under Dholera.
One thing worth knowing before you commit: agricultural land in Gujarat carries buyer eligibility conditions, and whether they apply to you depends on your own status. Confirm this before paying any advance, not after.
Gamph’s boundary touches the Dholera SIR along its northern edge. Measured against the DSIRDA Draft Development Plan map, the two share roughly 9.7 kilometres of boundary — the fourth longest contact of any village outside the region, behind only Kamatalav, Gundala and Adhelai.
Position on the northern edge matters for one specific reason: this is the side the airport is being built on. The Dholera International Airport site sits about 14 km from Gamph. Villages on the SIR’s southern edge are roughly 40 km from the same point. Whether that gap translates into value depends entirely on how and when the airport actually comes into service, which is not something anyone can promise.
Being outside the boundary still means DSIRDA’s zoning, FAR limits and TP scheme obligations do not apply to land in the village.
Why the difference? Plot rates include NA conversion, internal roads, demarcation and the smaller ticket size. Bulk land is the same land before that work is done.
