Dholera is now becoming Semiconductor hub of world.
Tata already invested 91,000 crore for its Semiconductor plant. After Tata’s investment a number of companies are moving towards Dholera to be a part of Semiconductor Revolution of India. In Recent development Nextgen Semiconductors are also announced to invest approx. 8,800 Crore in Dholera.
Nextgen Semiconductors, a leading innovator in power semiconductor technology, announced plans to raise up to ₹1,500 crore over the next 12 months to support its ambitious chip manufacturing initiative in Gujarat. The capital will be secured through a combination of equity and other financial instruments.
Nextgen Semiconductors will start fabrication facility in the Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR), designed to produce both silicon and silicon carbide-based power semiconductors. This facility will be part of a larger investment exceeding ₹8,800 crore, to be executed in multiple phases.
“We are committed to building a robust and future-ready semiconductor ecosystem in India,” said a spokesperson for Nextgen Semiconductors. “Our upcoming facility in Dholera will not only strengthen domestic chip production but also position Gujarat as a global hub for advanced electronics manufacturing.”
These investments will make India a sovereign country in high end chip manufacturing. India will soon become chip exporter from its current status of chip importer.
